Welcome, Dan! Tell us a bit about yourself, and where you're based.

I am based just south of Boston in a small college town where I live with my wife, our two daughters, and pets (2 guinea pigs and 3 cats). Previously I worked as the Information Security Manager for a global FinTech. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, practice martial arts (Kickboxing & BJJ), and play video games (specifically sim racing).

Can you talk about what you’ll be doing here at Cobalt?

As the Sr. Security Consultant at Cobalt I will be building out our Professional Services function. I will be heavily relying on my past experience as an Information Security leader to develop services that provide maximum value to Cobalt's customers.

How will customers and partners feel the impact of the work you’re doing?

Not only will customers be able to maximize the value of their pentests, they will also be able to leverage security experts to improve their overall security program. I know that Cobalt's services will be a force multiplier for our customers.

What attracted you to the role? What are you most excited about over the next 6-12 months?

Having spent most of my career as a security practitioner and leader, I was uniquelly familiar with the pain points security departments can feel while trying to build a pentest program. I had been watching Cobalt for some time, and felt that Cobalt was solving a lot of those problems. When I saw there was an opening for a position that was focused on maximizing the value for customers, I knew it was the next step I had to take in my career.

What’s your ideal superpower?

This may be a copout, but whatever you want to call Dr. Strange's power. The dude can bend time, make illusions, throw energy blasts, etc. I could find a use for almost all of those!
